Customer Issue
The customer reported that the washer was no longer finishing its cycle and had started making noise during operation. The problem appeared suddenly in July 2026.
Before contacting Noble Appliance Repair, the customer had researched the symptoms online and believed the control board was responsible. Rather than replacing the control board based only on that assumption, the technician performed a full diagnostic check to identify the actual failure.
Diagnosis Process
-
The technician ran the washer and listened to the noise produced during operation. The sound coming from the drain pump indicated that it was not functioning properly.
-
The drain pump was removed and inspected, which confirmed that it was broken. The failed component was identified as the drain pump PUMP WH11X34740.
-
During the inspection, the technician also found another problem: the washer’s shock absorbers were damaged. This made the case more complex than the customer initially expected, since more than one component required attention.
Repair Solution
The washer was disconnected from the power supply before repair work began. The technician removed the access panel, disconnected the drain hoses from the pump, and replaced the failed drain pump.
The damaged shock absorbers were also replaced using GE Washer Shock Absorber WH01X20826 OEM parts.
The repair addressed both issues found during diagnostics rather than replacing the control board that the customer originally suspected.

Testing and Results
After the repair, the washer was placed into self-diagnostic mode to verify the operation of its systems and components. The technician also performed a visual inspection.
The washer successfully passed the self-diagnostic cycle, and no additional problems were detected. The appliance was fully operational after the repair, and no further issues were reported.
Warranty and Recommendations
The repair included a 30-day labor warranty and a 60-day parts warranty. OEM parts may also include a manufacturer warranty of up to one year.
As part of the service, the technician cleaned the drain filter. The customer was advised to keep the drain pump filter clean and avoid overloading the washer to reduce unnecessary strain on the appliance.
